Would'nt every child just love to own such a lovable Winnie? So would just about every adult, as this Pooh is cast in 18ct Yellow, White and Rose Gold and is valued at over $20,000.

The story behind this remarkable piece of work started when Micahel J. Harvey approached us with this novel idea. As Director of Home Entertainment at Disney, Jawa Enterprises, he wanted something spectacularily unique and approached us with his idea. Needless to say, a project of this magnitude requires a great deal of experience and skill and a close rapport with the client.

Creating a master model would normally pose a significant challenge and an exhaustive amount of work, so we took a lateral approach and simply purchased a plastic £6.95 Winnie-the-Pooh! The toy was carefully separated into its component parts, and a mould made of each.

Then the various components were cast and finished, ready for soldering and polishing.

The result : a white gold Honey Pot, yellow gold Winnie and dripping Honey, and a rose gold Jumper.

Once this was completed, a silver model was also cast and presented to the Director of Disney in Dubai, Ismael Al Hamadi.

The Golden Winnie-The-Pooh was given away in a promotion (see article at left from the Gulf News, Dubai). Every purchase of a "The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh" video entitled the purchaser to a free entry in the prize draw, after filling out a form.
